Workshop FAQs

Please read through the following frequently asked questions and policies before booking a candle making class. Please note, we reserve the right to change our policies at any time.


ARE  WALK-INS WELCOME?
We accept walk-ins at our Wicks & Mimosas Workshop & Wicks & Vibes ONLY but we highly recommend that you make a reservation online to secure your spot for your desired date and time. Online reservations will be unavailable 2 hours prior to class time. Please call for availability. We would love for you to join us!

IS THERE A GRACE PERIOD?
As a courtesy to all our guests, we start our classes promptly ON TIME with a 15minute grace period.

NO LATE ENTRY AFTER 15 minute grace period.

Once that grace period has closed, unfortunately the ticket is no longer valid.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.

A workshop credit will be given to reschedule. You may only reschedule ONE TIME.

NO SAME DAY CANCELS. 

NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED OR RESCHEDULED.

NO REFUNDS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you or any member of your party is going to be more than 15 minutes late, please reschedule your class for a later date as late arrivals are extremely disruptive to your fellow candle makers. Please reschedule your class via email @ wicksandbutters@gmail.com.

NO CALL/NO EMAIL/NO SHOW can not be rescheduled. No refund will be given.

DO YOU ACCEPT CASH? NO. Ticket Reservations are card only.

CAN I JUST WATCH?
Each person who attends must pay for a single seat. Parents attending with children must purchase a ticket. Due to the limited size of our workshop space, we do not allow anyone to wait inside, watch or participate in the class without a ticket.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
While we do provide aprons for participants, we recommend that you wear something you wouldn't mind ruining. Fragrance oils can be hard to get out of clothing and so can wax!

HOW LONG WILL THE WORKSHOP LAST?
The candle making portion of the workshop will last 20-30 minutes. Once you've finished, your candle it will take another 40 minutes for the candle to solidify. There’s plenty to do while your candle cures. We offer games, music and refreshments. If you would like to leave and return, we ask that you pick up your candle by end of day. 
WE SHIP CANDLES! If you would like your candle shipped please contact us. Candles are held for 48 hours only. After 48 hours we will discard it.


CAN I BRING FOOD & DRINKS FOR REGULAR DAILY CLASS?

YES. You may bring any beverage you choose. Unfortunately for our daily classes. We do not allow hot food. Small lunch boxes and coolers are allowed.

NO BAGGED ICE, NO HOT FOOD, NO LARGE SERVINGS OF FOOD

If you are celebrating a bday with us during a regular daily class you may bring BALLOONS AND CUPCAKES ONLY (No sheet cake) for your friends during our regular workshops. Seating is on a first come basis. Please reserve tickets in advance to secure seating.

CAN I BRING FOOD & DRINKS FOR PRIVATE CLASS?

YES. You may bring food and drinks! Please note that dinnerware, ice, warmers nor disposable ware will not be provided.

DO YOU TRAVEL OR HOST PRIVATE EVENTS? 

YES. Please see our private onsite and offsite class option.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?

YES. All of our classes are BYOB. All participants need to be 21+

For children, please contact us to schedule a private party or children's class.

I BOOKED FOR A DATE THAT I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. YOU ARE OFFERED ONE TIME TO RESCHEDULE AND MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED DATE. SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS/NO SHOWS ARE NOT ALLOWED and will be canceled with NO REFUND AND NO RESCHEDULE.

Please send us a email a wicksandbutters@gemil.com  (3days) in advance before appointment time and let us know that you can no longer attend and would like to reschedule. A Wicks & Butters representative will be in touch within 72 hours. Please refer to our cancellation policy below for more details.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CANDLEMAKING WORKSHOPS?

All candle making workshops purchased at promotional pricing and gift certificates are final sale. If you've purchased a workshop ticket online and need to reschedule, it must be made at least 3 days in advance and workshop passes will be given as a credit toward another workshop, you only have one time to reschedule. Same day appointments/No shows cannot be rescheduled.

The undersigned agrees to Wicks & Butters cancellation policies and will not dispute the charge for same-day cancellations and no-shows.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PRIVATE PARTIES?
All private parties are final sale. No refunds. No refunds for same day cancellations or no shows
If you can not make your scheduled private party you must contact management 5 days prior to your class. After a hour of your scheduled party time and the host has not arrived or contacted staff YOUR PARTY WILL BE CANCELED WITH NO REFUND OR EXCHANGE. 

If you go over your scheduled party time a $75 fee will be applied to the credit card on file.
